Moment of unveiling the equestrian statue of Kaiser Wilhelm I on the Lange Brücke in Potsdam on 11 April 1901. The memorial is still covered with a cloth depicting the Prussian eagle. The emperor, seen from the back, stands on horseback right in front of the monument. To the left are dignitaries, mainly soldiers, behind them is Empress Auguste-Viktoria in front of a tent, further back and to the right are military personnel and civilians watching. The surroundings are decorated with flags, wreaths and garlands. In the background the river Havel.
