Kaiser Wilhelm II, left, in front of a canopy, examines the just-unveiled monument to Johann (Hans) von Brandenburg-Küstrin (1513-1571), centre right, on the Schloßfreiheit in front of the Schloss-Caserne in Cüstrin (Küstrin, today's Kostrzyn) on 24 October 1903, and receives explanations from a man (the sculptor's maker, Fritz Schaper?). A large number of high-ranking military and civilians look on, one of them holding a wreath. On the other side of the square, soldiers are standing, on the right, and a military chapel, on the left. Behind them, a large crowd of citizens is watching. The buildings are decorated with garlands and flags.
